An Appeal!

Dear Rotarians,

This rainy season has created grim problems. I personally visited Kopargaon, Paithan, Beed and in touch with AG Kishor Pawade of Nanded . We had meetings with local Rotarians.
It is seen that many of flood victims have lost their shelters, their valuables and precious lives because of this natural calamity. We feel that, at present, the most urgent need of the flood victims is Utensils and Blankets, as most of them left homes with only the clothes on person.

We worked out a tentative budget for ONE SET OF: Two Steel Thalis, Two Steel Glasses, Two Steel Cups, Two Bowls for cooking and a Solapur Chaddar, the tentative budget required is Rs. 250.00 only. In this disastrous condition, I make an humble and earnest appeal to all Rotarians to help sumptuously by donating maximum possible sets from each club. Please plan and send the amount in multiples of Rs.250/- so to say your club is donating so many sets.

The DD should be sent in favour of "District Welfare Fund" Payable at Latur at Rtn. Havgirao Pandhare, District Treasurer, Nandimarg, Ausa Road, LATUR -413 531.

A separate ledger would be maintained of this account. I am confident that Rotarians would donate generously at this hour of crisis.

With regards,
Yours in Rotary service,
HARIPRASAD SOMANI
District Governor- 3130
