The youth Exchange Committee 2007-2008 would like to invite application forms from all the aspiring students who are willing to participate in one of the most acclaimed program of Rotary International- the Youth Exchange Program.

As you know, one of Rotary International's Objectives is to promote World Peace and Understanding through Cultural Exchange Programs amongst the Youth around the World. The most powerful tool in promotion of International Understanding and Peace is the exposure to different cultures.

To promote World Peace and Understanding, International Youth Exchange (IYE) is a unique program of Rotary International. Our District has been participating in the Program successfully and our children have earned a very high reputation over the years around the World.

As you are aware, under this program children between the age group of 15 to 19 years are exchanged to enjoy Home Stay in different Families. The students, who go on exchange either for a short term duration of 4-6 weeks OR One Year understand and exchange cultures of different countries. The program also offeres an opportunity under New Generation Exchange program for students between age goroup of 19 to 23.

This opportunity is for Young Children of Rotarians and Non Rotarians. It is estimated that more than 10,000 students from different countries participate every year in this unique program.

We are pleased to offer this opportunity to the Children during the Rotary Year 2008-09.
