Rotary
international President Rtn.Carl Wilhem
Stenhammar and District Governor Rtn. Dr.
Mahesh Kotbagi, want us do lot of activities
to promote "literacy" and take-up projects
for each sector of our societies. Are you
ready for it and to provide further information,
I am glad to send some more guidelines to
you. However, this publication would not
be beneficial unless we act on it. My fellow
Rotarians and leaders of clubs, please act
and give our communities what they deserve.
Let us start by donating used computers
and district team will help you to put up
required software on it.
Let me know your "actions" to reduce
illiteracy or promote literacy.
Looking forward to see you in action!
Yours in Rotary.
Rtn.Vishwanath Bellad
District Chairman - Literacy Resource Group.

Check
LIST AND GET CLUBS TO SEEK out projects initially
that would help illiterate people learn to
read and write. It is our feeling that illiterate
people will remain locked in a cycle of poverty
until they succeed in overcoming that burden.
It is recommended that district contacts use
the theme months as displayed below to motivate
clubs and bring literacy to the notice of
the district. |
